斗茶谷

清光绪末年，白莺山茶叶产业得到快速发展，茶叶交易频繁，每隔一段时间，远近茶农由族长带着本族最好的茶叶齐聚在山谷平地和大河街“开茶会、品茶味、评精品、贡茶叶、推良种”，这种民俗活动被称为“赶茶会”，“赶茶会”一直延续到解放前。眼前的这片山谷，就是当时僧众“赶茶会”“斗茶”的一个地方，后来被称为“斗茶谷”。

Every once in a while, tea farmers from far and near brought their own best tea together in the valley flats and Dahe Street to "have tea parties and taste tea. Commenting on fine products, paying tribute to tea leaves, and pushing fine varieties.” This kind of folklore activity was called the “chao cha party”, and the “cha cha party” continued until liberation. The valley in front of us was a place where monks "chat-chat" and "fighting tea" at that time, and later it was called "fighting tea valley".
